Substitution Policy

My Baskets reserves the right to substitute any item that may be unavailable at the time of purchase for another item of equal or greater value. 

With COVID-19 among us, it can be particularly more challenging with ensuring our full supply is kept in stock at all times.

While we strive to always provide products that are true to what is advertised, unfortunately there are times where we have run short of a particular item, and it is beyond our control. The companies we partner with may discontinue products, there may be a delay in shipping, or there may be an item on backorder due to high demand. 

There may a particular occasion that a gift has been ordered for that is time-sensitive, such as a birthday or anniversary. We aim to have all orders arrive on their selected delivery date if possible, which means we may need to deliver a basket with substituted items because the original items were out of stock at the time of the basket's assembly, and the basket needs to be delivered. 

We spare no effort in ensuring the items included in your gift are as similar to the original item as possible.

Baby Items

Items featured in our baby gift baskets may need to be replaced by other items if the item pictured is unavailable at the time of basket assembly.

Items such as clothing (onesies, sleepers, cardigans, pants, hats, bibs, gloves, mittens, etc.) or blankets are subject to change in regards to colour, pattern, or design based on availability. For example, we may need to substitute a pink short sleeve onesie with a striped pattern for another pink short sleeve onesie with a dotted pattern. 

We ensure that the substituted item will be of equal or greater value to the original item in terms of premium material and high-quality. 

Gourmet Items

Items featured in our gourmet gift baskets may need to be substituted for other items if the original item shown is unavailable when the basket is being assembled.

Items such as snacks (pretzels, popcorn, crackers, etc.) or sweets (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, truffles, cookies, etc.) are subject to change in regards to its packaging or branding. For example, we may need to substitute a shortbread cookie from one of our brands for a shortbread cookie from another brand.

We ensure that the substituted item will be of equal or greater value to the original item in terms of high-quality ingredients, fresh taste, and amazing flavour. 

Basket Containers

The containers used for the base of our gift baskets, such as rattan, wicker, or metal baskets, may be out of stock due to a delay in our supply.

We ensure that if the situation arises, we will substitute the basket container for another container that is as close to the original one pictured in terms of its colour, shape, high-quality, and versatility.
